Translation of Compound Nouns from English to Thai in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Abstract

This research aims to design knowledge packages and investigate conservative and restorative pattern of traditional sailing boat for ecotourism under “Value” concept, which Participatory Action is employed as the
research methodology. Research tools consist of timeline setting for traditional sailing boat knowledge collection, SWOT for traditional sailing boat situational, environmental and potential analysis, and in-depth interview and participatory observation with 25 people of team leaders. The findings from this research comprise 3 parts: (1) knowledge packages of traditional sailing boat for
ecotourism which were collected as a guidebook named “Chuk Bai Khuen Sao Song Lay Mae (Sailing into Lamae Sea)” (2) SWOT analysis results, which revealed that the potential community is ranked in the third level, indicating the community’s initiation with preparation and no tourist. This kind of community should have organizational management, learning center, and wisdom scholars in order to descending it to next generation, and (3) conservative and restorative pattern of traditional sailing boat for ecotourism of which a goal is to develop “Tourism Landmark” in accordance withhumanresourcesdevelopment leading to benefit management in form of the organization for tourism and sport, and reimage it to build tourist experience value. The success indicators of traditional sailing boat conservation and restoration consist of obvious organizational structure, potential teamwork, supportive organization, knowledge package and image creation or brand development of traditional sailing boat to build awareness and recognition.
