Guidelines for Product Development of Tai Lue Sridonchai Woven Fabrics Chiang Khong District Chiang Rai

Abstract

The objective of this research was 1) to study product development guidelines to be value-added products 2) to study cost and return for weaving Tai Lue. The sample group used women weavers Tai Lue Sridonchai cloth 12 cases in Chiang Rai. The research tool was an in-depth interview. The results found that 1) Guidelines for product development of Tai Lue Sridonchai woven fabrics Chiang Khong District Chiang Rai needs using a method to develop a fabric pattern design that is contemporary, appropriate, and has the identity of the Tai Lue people 2) The cost and the return of Tai Lue weaving found the average production cost of Tai Lue Sri Donchai woven fabrics was 2,365.33 baht/piece, the average return of Tai Lue Sridonchai woven fabrics was 2,720 baht/piece, average gross profit was 354.67 baht/piece. The profit margin per piece was 13.04% and the profit margin per piece was 14.99%.
