The study of Stress Coping Guideline in the New Normal Era of Petrochemical Industry in Rayong

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the stress coping guideline in the new normal era of petrochemical industry in Rayong and 2) compare stress coping guideline classified by gender, work experience, job type and work style. The quantitative data were obtained from 100 employees, who are employed in petrochemical industry in Rayong. This research was collected data through questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and analyze mean difference by t-test and One-Way ANOVA. The statistical significance of this research was set at 0.05.

The result of the research showed that most of the respondents were male, more than 10 years of work experience, management position, and mixed work style between work on-site and work from home. The employees had overall level of opinion about stress coping guideline in the new normal era of petrochemical industry in Rayong in the high level. When classified each dimension, respondents had stress coping guideline by problem focused coping and emotion focused coping, respectively. The result of comparison of the differences of stress coping guideline classified by gender, work experience, job type and work style. It was found that no difference in gender, work experience, job type and work style of employees about stress coping guideline in the new normal era of petrochemical industry in Rayong at the 0.05 level.
