Abstract

The purposes of this research are to study the guidelines for job selection in construction industry in Rayong Province. In term of job characteristics, organizational management, work environment and job motivation by classifying personnel status into gender, age, marital status, education, averaged monthly income and hometown. The researcher applied a survey research using questionnaire method for this research, collecting the primary data through distributing questionnaire to 396 samples from employees in construction Industry in Rayong Province. The statistics used in this research were Frequency,
Percentages, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.), t-test, Anova, Scheffe analysis, Computer program was used for data analysis at a statistical level of 0.05.
The research found that most respondents were male, aged 25 to 35 years old, married, education level under graduate, average monthly income 20,000 to 30,000 baht and northeastern hometown. The results also indicate that the value of guidelines for job selection of employee are important overall. When considered in each aspect, the research results show the job characteristics, organizational management and work environment are important while motivation aspect is moderate important. The comparison of differences classified by personal status found that the gender, education, marital status and average monthly income have no difference. However, age and hometown were significantly different at the level of 0.05.
