Abstract

This research aimed at studying the relationship between the factors of public commitment
to the community in Bangkok and analyzing the confirmatory factors of public commitment to the
community in Bangkok. The researcher used the quantitative research method in conducting this
research by distributing the research questionnaire, as the research tool, to 400 samples. The statistics
used in this research were Frequency, Percentage, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and Confirmatory
Factor Analysis (CFA). The results of the study show that the factors of public commitment to the
community, which consisted of Community Organization (COO), Community Organization Leader
(COL), Governmental Personnel (PER), and Member of Community (MEC), had the relationship with
the statistical significance at .01. The results of hypothesis testing show that the factors were
consistent with the empirical data with 2  = 0.51, p–Value = 0.47, df = 1, and RMSEA = 0.000, which
mean that these four factors were the confirmatory factors of public commitment to the community
in Bangkok.
