Abstract

The Environment Literacy through Creative Media of the Deaf Students are two research objectives: 1. To develop sign language media on waste management of students in grades 4 with Deaf impairment efficiency 80/80 and 2. To study learning outcomes with sign language media, subject: Waste separation among grade 4 students with Deaf impairments. The target group is the students with Deaf, Grade 4, Anusan Sunthon School. Chiang Mai Province by using sign language media material. The results of the research revealed as follows:


  1. Sign language media of Deaf students in grade 4 as effective as 85.78 / 88.61 is a good medium. Which is higher than the 80/80 threshold.

  2. The effectiveness index of sign language media medium was 74.53, showing that the students who studied with the short film version of the sign language medium had a 74.53% increase in knowledge from before studying.

  3. The Deaf students who learn with sign language media have a higher post-study average than before studying, a statistically significant difference at the .05 level.

  4. The Deaf students had the behavior of dumping garbage in the trash every time 8 people, 44.4 percent, and when the students bought things or snacks in the school and told the salesperson not to used plastic bags for 7 people, 38.9 percent.
