Abstract

         The objectives of this research are 1) to survey and gather information on the tourist attractions in Uttaradit province; 2) to study the physical and geographic environment of the tourist attractions in Uttarid province and 3) to develop sustainable and cultural tourist attractions in areas of 9 districts in Uttaradit province. The research result revealed that 1) according to the survey and data collection from monks, government officials, tour operators and people in tourist areas by the strength of the community, culture, distinctive identity, food, tourist attractions namely in Laplae district and has coordinated the tourism network of 2 Uttaradit Province tourism associations as the Tourism Promotion Association of Uttaradit and the Association of Northern Tourism Promotion Associations; 2) The physical and geographic environment has 3 characteristics which are the Nan river basin, plains and urban areas and the plateau area that has mountains, beautiful natural forests in the area of ​​Sirikit Dam National Park, Sak Yai National Park (Khlong Tron), Rae Lek Nam Phi National Park, Phu Soi Dao National Park and Phu Du Dan Gate, the gateway to Luang Prabang-Wiang Chan Thai-Laos Connection and 3) Sustainable tourism attraction development must be proceeded by religious leaders and local people that must jointly preserve and propose government agencies to allocate budgets for making local museums correctly according to academic principles in order to preserve and maintain local culture for future generations to study including to increase the number of public relations, signs and clean toilets for tourists, trash cans and standardized trading products.
