Creating a Safety Network in Educational Institutions to Develop Student Heath in the Bang Tabun-Ban Laem Network Group, Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

            This research has the following research objectives: 1) to study the safety network components in educational institutions that affect the development of student health in the Bang Tabun-Ban Laem Network Group, 2) to create a safety networks manual in educational institutions that affects the development of student health, and 3) To study the effects of using a safety networks manual in educational institutions that affect the development of student health. Network Group under Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The target group were consisting of  educational institution administrators, leading teachers, public health officer of Bangtaboon Subdistrict Municipality, police officers of Bangtaboon Police Station, community leader, parent representative, and the students who were studying in grades 1-6.The instruments used in the research included: 1) an innovative tool, manual for creating safety networks in educational institutions to develop students’ health, and 2) a tool used for collecting data, student health assessment form. The IOC of both instruments was between 0.67-1.00. The statistics used in the analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

            The research results: 1) From the creating of a safety network in educational institutions to develop student health in the Bang Tabun-Ban Laem network group, Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, the result showed the following components: network formation, creation of imagery/vision/goals/objectives, organization of network management system, provision of funding resources operation and inculcation in the work in term of networking culture/ and networking maintenance. 2) Creating a safety network manual in educational institutions to improve student health consists of educational institution administrators, teachers, public health officials, police officers, community leaders, parent and student representatives. There are 5 steps to building a network and carrying out 9 student health development activities to develop student health in all 7 areas. 3) After creating a safety network in educational institutions to develop the student health in the Bang Tabun-Ban Laem network group, Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, it was found that students had higher health conditions. Overall, there was percentage of progress increased for 31.12.
