Developing Online Video Tutorials of Art Criticism on the Theory to Develop Criticism Art Skills for the 2nd Year Students in Art Studies, Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Phetchaburi Province

Abstract

          The purposes of this study were to find out the Research and Development: 1) To develop and find the effectiveness of online teaching video clips for art criticism theory to develop art critical skills for the 2^nd year undergraduate students in art education, 2) to compare art criticism skills before and after learning art criticism theory. To develop art critical skills by using online teaching video clips for 2^nd year undergraduate students in Art Education, 3) to investigate the satisfaction of online teaching videos. The subjects used in this research were undergraduate students in Art Education, the 2^nd year, at Phetchaburi Rajabhat University in Phetchaburi province, which is currently studying in the second semester of the academic year 2022, has a total of 30 students. The tools used to collect data consist of: 1) the art criticism skills test before and after learning art criticism, which is a test of art criticism using online teaching clips for the study of art criticism; 2) art criticism theory in the genre of aesthetics and art analysis; and six questions that are characterized as a test by writing the process of art criticism according to various theories. 2) art criticism skills assessment before and after learning art criticism, an assessment of art criticism using online teaching clips for the study of art criticism, 5 theories of art criticism in aesthetics and art analysis, 5 criticisms of works of art that are characterized as opinions on student 20 questions, writing additional feedback. And 3) satisfaction questionnaires towards online video tutorials. The statistics used to analyze the data are the mean, percentage, standard deviation, and conformity index, process efficiency, E1/E2, difficulty, classification power, and T-test.

          The results of the research showed that 1) the results of the assessment of conformity index (IOC) by experts of the 5 EPs of online video tutorial clips concluded that the preparation of all 5 EPs of online video tutorial clips had the same assessment results in all EPs: +1 as a score of 3/3 and the IOC value as a total score of 1.00 interpreted as valid. The average result of finding the effectiveness of learning materials was E1/EE2 = 83.92/85.41, 2) the average pre-test score was 56.07 points, and the average post-test score was 81.90 points. It was found that post-test scores were statistically significantly higher than pre-test scores of .05, 3) the results of the overall analysis of the satisfaction questionnaire from learning using online teaching video clips that the total score was 1417 points, with an average of 4.72, a standard deviation of 0.32, and a distribution coefficient (C.V.) (%) of 6.69.  This study confirmed students in the sample group were the most satisfied with their academics.
