The Development the Learning Outcomes of Pre-service Teachers by Integrating Research with Teaching in Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory 2

Abstract

         The purpose of this research was 1) to improve the learning outcomes of Pre-service Teachers by integrating research with learning management in Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory 2 , and 2) to study students' satisfaction with learning management. The sample groups consisted of 14 third-year pre-service teachers of the chemistry division, Faculty of Science and Technology, Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, in the second semester of the academic year 2020 by cluster random sampling. The research tools were learning management plans, assessment forms for learning outcomes, tests, and questionnaire on student satisfaction with learning management. Data were analyzed using the mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The results showed that the learning outcomes of Pre-service Teachers after learning management using the integrated process with research as a whole revealed that the mean scores of learning outcomes were at high, and highest level. Morality and ethics were at the highest level, followed by interpersonal skills and responsibility at the highest level. Intellectual skills are at a high level, and the lowest mean is Numerical analysis skills, communication and information technology use were at a high level. The knowledge assessed from the test after the learning management had an average score that passed the criteria. The study of student teachers' satisfaction with learning management found that it increased their knowledge, understanding and skills in using tools and also promoted other skills, such as experimental planning skills, computational skills, and statistical data analysis and presentation skills.
