The Utilization of Technology for Communication of School Administrators

Abstract

            Today is an era of change. There has been great progress in science and technology. There are many new developments in modern information and communication technology systems. They have driven rapid changes in the global community in many ways, including impact on the economy, society, education. This necessitates the development of education management to keep up with changes. The school administrator is the key person who leads the school to keep up with the pace of change. Communication with teachers is two-way communication. Only talking or writing (Verbal) is not enough, also movements and expressions (Non-verbal) is necessary too. The information in communication can be beneficial or harmful to building interpersonal relationships. At present, there are technologies for communication of school administrators to learn and use, such as e-mail and applications like WhatsApp, Line and Facebook Messenger. These technologies will help school administrators communicate and respond to emergency work, reducing the reliance on face-to-face communication and shortening the time for formal communication, meetings, and activity planning. Originally, communication was facilitated through technology. School administrators must learn and develop the skillful use of various technologies to prevent communication errors.
