The The Development and Improvement of Research Management Information System for Phetchaburi Rajabhat University

Abstract

        The purposes of this research were 1) to develop a management system for experts, 2) to develop an API system to connect to the internal educational quality assurance website, 3) to improve research databases for fiscal year 2007 – 2019, and 4) to assess the efficiency of the use of information systems for research management Phetchaburi Rajabhat University (Version 2) The sample population, through the purposive sampling method, consisted of 43 researchers, information technology specialists and practitioners at Phetchaburi Rajabhat University. The sample must be a person who has used information systems and is a technology expert who has knowledge, ability and experience in developing information systems. The research instruments consisted of the Research Management Information System Assessment Form (Version 2) of Phetchaburi Rajabhat University for experts, for researchers, and for practitioners, all 3 papers had an Index of Concordance (IOC) equal to 0.85.

        The results showed that: 1) Development and improvement of information systems used in the development of the researcher's routine (R2R) by using the Web Application, which consists of Qualifications management system, API system, connected to the internal educational quality assurance website, and improvement of research databases for fiscal years 2007 - 2019, including security systems, recording, data editing, searching data from research databases, report preparation, and  use modules with 3 functions according to the group of system users, namely for admins or operators, for researchers, and for the information technology specialists. 2) Evaluation results of information systems for research management (Version 2) Phetchaburi Rajabhat University by assessment by experts, researchers, and practitioners. It was found that experts evaluated the efficiency at a very good level in all aspects, the average scores of the top three highest rankings are the API system is connected to the internal education quality assurance website, safety, and the usability of the program, which has a very good level of performance, and the aspect with the lowest overall average was the function of the system, which performed at a very good level. The researchers evaluated the top three average scores: program usability (very good), system functionality (very good), and security (good). The area with the lowest overall average was the system's functions, which performed at a good level. Practitioners found that the top three average scores were the expert management system, program usage with an overall average score, and the research database for the fiscal year 2007 - 2019, which had a very good level of efficiency. The area with the lowest overall average was system functionality, which performed very well.
