A Study Of TOEIC Learning Achievement through LMS Peformed by the 3th Year Students at Phetchaburi Rajabhat University -

Abstract

This analysis study had purposes to examine achievement and opinion over learning English performed by the 3rd year students at Phetchaburi Rajabhat University who had learned TOEIC through LMS system. The data were collected from 2 sample groups; the first group included 138 students, utilized for determining learning achievement, purposively selected from those who enrolled in the educational programs and the second group were 30 students selected with a stratified sampling method from the programs utilized for interviewing. A TOEIC test was utilized for data collection of learning achievement while the opinion was collected with an interview from. The learning achievement data were analyzed statistically for percentage and mean while the data from the interview was analyzed for content summary.
The study found that the post-test score of achievement performed by the students who learned TOEIC through LMS system was 79.71% higher than the pre-test one. The students revealed that this LMS system for learning TOEIC had proved beneficial in terms of its content and skill coverage, adequate description and multi-media presentation, easy and unlimited time allowance and place for self-study, and providing effective access with good learning methods and skill practices. However, there were some drawbacks to be improved, namely, making the overwhelming content to be more precise and sectioned it down to be accomplished step by step, keeping the internet more effective and stabilized at all time, providing E-book documents for better study practice, and organizing blended group trainings alongside with the online learning.
