Abstract

Abstract


The objectives of this research are 1) to study and analyze the basic condition and information for the development of management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, 2) to develop the management model based on Theory of Planned , 3) to experiment the use of such management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, and evaluate its results by means of (1) evaluation on teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, (2) evaluation on satisfaction of teachers and teachers in reference group toward the management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, (3) evaluation on sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students derived from such learning process management, (4) evaluation on satisfaction of students toward the activity management to promote sufficiency economy thinking skills, and (5) evaluation on satisfaction of the persons involved toward the participation of the development of sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, and 4) to enhance the management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students. The target group of this research includes 639 subjects in Municipal School 1, Wat Kaen Lek (Rattanakalas Anusorn), academic year 2018, i.e., 36 teachers, 9 teachers in reference group, 454 students in grade 4-9, 125 parents, and 15 members of basic education school board. The research tools consist of document analysis forms, quizzes, questionnaires, evaluation forms, and group discussion issues. The data were analyzed by means of percentage (%), mean (), standard deviation (S.D.), and content analysis.


                    The results of this research show that:


  1. The development of management model results in the so-called 3BDPAEB Model. Thereby, the said model includes principles related to academic administration focusing on the building of positive attitudes, perceived self-efficacy, and reference group for the teachers to comply with so that the teachers are determined to carry out academic affairs in an efficient manner, which has an influence on the learning quality of learners, objectives to enhance the teachers’ competence in learning process management and improve sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, and management process consisting of Building the Attitude (B1), Building the Reference Group (B2), Building the  Perceived  Behavior (B3), Decision Making (D), Planning (P), Acting (A), Evaluating (E), and Benefits (B). The conditions to apply this model are 1) the teachers have positive attitudes toward the learning process management to enhance sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, 2) the teachers in reference group have knowledge and skills related to the learning process management to enhance sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, as well as reliable  practice and behavior, 3) the teachers believe that they have knowledge and capability of learning process management to enhance sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, 4) the administrators are determined to support, promote, and monitor the teachers’ learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students, 5) the administrators have great intention to support and encourage the school teachers and personnel to participate in the development of educational quality, and 6) the administrators have knowledge, understanding, good attitudes, and guidelines about the learning process management to enhance sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students.

  2. The results after using the management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students are as follows:

2.1     The teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students at Municipal School 1, Wat Kaen Lek after using this model is at high level.


2.2     The satisfaction of the teachers and the teachers in reference group toward the management model based on Theory of Planned Behavior to promote teachers’ competence in learning process management affecting sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students is at very high level.


2.3     The sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students after implementing the teachers’ learning process management to enhance sufficiency economy thinking skills are at high level and their progress is above the specified criteria (25%).


2.4     The satisfaction of students toward the activity management to promote sufficiency economy thinking skills is at very high level.


2.5     The satisfaction of the persons involved toward the participation of the development of sufficiency economy thinking skills of the students is at very high level.
