Abstract

The objectives of this research article were: 1) to study the conditions of inclusive education management; 2) to study the methods of inclusive education management based on the Four Ariyasacca principles (The Four Noble Truths); and 3) to propose guidelines for inclusive education management based on the Four Ariyasacca principles. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. Quantitative data were collected via questionnaires from a sample of 112 teachers and analyzed using descriptive statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with 7 key informants and analyzed using content analysis.

The research findings revealed that: 1) The overall conditions of inclusive education management was at a high level. 2) The methods of inclusive education management applying the Four Ariyasacca principles as developmental guidelines consist of four aspects: (1) Dukkha (The Problem): Learners with special educational needs have not yet received appropriate individualized services or care; (2) Samudaya (The Cause): Resolving the problem requires serious participation from all relevant sectors; (3) Nirodha (The Goal): Inclusive education management achieves equality and quality; (4) Magga (The Path): The process starts with listening to the problems and needs of teachers, parents, and the community, along with appointing an inclusive education committee at the school cluster level to systematically drive the operations. 3) The guidelines for inclusive education management based on the Four Ariyasacca principles consist of four aspects: (1) Participation: Inclusive education can only be successful through the cooperation of all sectors, including teachers, learners, parents, the community, and educational personnel; (2) Teaching and Learning Model: Utilizing a multi-grade classroom model where one teacher designs and organizes appropriate activities for each group of learners; (3) Flexibility for Children with Special Needs: Since these children have varying abilities, teachers must adapt the content, teaching methods, and learning tools to ensure equitable access to education for all; (4) Implementation Goals: School administrators can apply these guidelines along with the SEAT framework in core schools to maximize the efficiency of inclusive education management between regular students and students with special needs.
