GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL TEACHING SKILLS IN THE DIGITAL ERA BASED ON THE THREE SADDHAMMA AMONG TEACHERS IN EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY EXPANSION SCHOOLS, WANG NOI DISTRICT, PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1) study the state of professional teacher skills in the digital age, 2) study methods for developing professional teacher skills in the digital age based on the Three Saddhamma, and 3) propose guidelines for developing professional teacher skills in the digital age based on the Three Saddhamma among teachers in educational opportunity expansion schools in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This employed a mixed-methods research design using questionnaires from a sample of 186 teachers. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, namely mean and standard deviation, and interviews with 7 key informants were conducted using content analysis.

The research results found that: 1) the state of professional teacher skills in the digital age among teachers in educational opportunity expansion schools, both overall and in each aspect, was at a high level. 2) The methods for developing professional teacher skills in the digital age based on the Three Saddhamma consisted of (1) Pariyatti (Learning), focusing on providing teachers with basic knowledge in technology, teaching innovations, and understanding of cybersecurity and ethics; and (2) Patipatti (Doing), emphasizing practical training to enable teachers to responsibly design and apply digital media in actual teaching (3) Pativedha (Reflection and Extension), evaluating the use of technology to exchange knowledge and further develop new innovations to develop teaching sustainably, and 3) Guidelines for developing professional teacher skills in the digital age based on the Three Saddhamma (1) Pariyatti (Promotion of knowledge), develop teachers to have knowledge of digital safety and ethics, promote the concept of using technology for teaching creatively, create a curriculum or manual that integrates both academic knowledge and social responsibility. (2) Patipatti (Promotion of action), organize workshops for teachers to practice using digital media and tools continuously, support the use of technology in actual teaching while considering morality and the security of student data as important. (3) Pativedha (Promotion of reflection and extension), open up space for teachers to reflect on their work and exchange knowledge through the process of professional learning communities, support the use of findings to improve teaching and further develop new innovations to suit students sustainably.
