GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING CREATIVE LEARNING RESOURCES BASED ON THE SEVEN SAPPAYA PRINCIPLES OF TEMPLES IN NONTHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aimed to 1) study the conditions of creative learning resource usage in temples in Nonthaburi Province, 2) study the development methods of creative learning resource based on the Seven Sapp ya Principles of temples in Nonthaburi Province, and 3) propose guidelines for the development of creative learning resource based on the Seven Sapp ya Principles of temples in Nonthaburi Province. This research was a mixed-method research, consisting of quantitative research using a questionnaire with a sample group of 242 monks in Nonthaburi Province. Data were analyzed using basic statistics, namely frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative research was conducted by interviewing 15 monks/person who were experts in developing temples into creative learning resource areas. Data were analyzed using content analysis.


The research results found that: 1) The overall condition of the use of creative learning resources in temples in Nonthaburi Province had a high level of opinion. When considering each aspect, opinions were at a high level in all aspects, ranked from most to least, including information design, knowledge transmitter, learning media, learning activities, and knowledge information, respectively. 2) The method of developing creative learning resources according to the Seven Sapp ya Principles of temples in Nonthaburi Province consisted of (1) Knowledge information, organized knowledge into categories, easy to understand, ready to be applied, used various learning media, stored data systematically. (2) Learning activities, promoted thinking skills, analyzed, synthesized, and evaluated, emphasized learning from doing and learner participation, integrated technology to create an Active Learning atmosphere. (3) Learning media, the media was diverse, appropriate for the environment, content, and target group, managed media systematically, maintained it for easy access, integrated media with learning activities. (4) Knowledge transmitter, had expertise in the subject to be conveyed, had good communication skills, had a good personality and be a good role model, promoted initiative and creativity, encouraged learner participation. (5) Data design, presented interesting data, concise, clear, easy to understand, used language appropriate for the target group, disseminated through various channels, managed data systematically, easy to access, updated data regularly. 3) Guidelines for developing creative learning resources based on the Seven Sapp ya Principles of temples in Nonthaburi Province, temples in Nonthaburi Province were developed as creative learning resources based on the Seven Sapp ya Principles by preparing an environment conducive to learning, such as libraries, co-working spaces, and natural areas, providing nutritious food, and having personnel such as monks, novices, and experts, etc., who could be role models and giving advice linking the principles of Dharma with modern content such as cartoons and animations to inspire, stimulate initiative, promoted open-mindedness, and instilled perseverance, which would help to develop the potential of learners, leading to the creation of new things that were beneficial to Buddhism and society.
