GUIDELINES IN APPLYING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF ACADEMIC ISSUES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 3 KOSALLA PRINCIPLES IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE SINGBURI ANGTHONG SECONDARY EDUCATION AREA OFFICE

Abstract

This research article aimed 1) to study the necessity of applying information technology in the administration of academic issues in secondary schools, 2) to study the various methods of applying information technology in the administration of academic issues in accordance with the Three Kosalla Principles in secondary schools, and 3) to propose guidelines for applying information technology in the administration of academic issues in accordance with the Three Kosalla Principles in secondary schools under the jurisdiction of the Singburi-Angthong Secondary Educational Service Area Office. This research was a mixed-method research: 1) Quantitative research using a questionnaire with a sample of 169 teachers. Data were analyzed using basic statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. 2) Qualitative research using an interview form to interview 7 key informants. Data were analyzed using content analysis.

The research results found that 1) The necessity in applying information technology in the administration of academic issues of secondary schools, found that the most noteworthy needs were in the area of curriculum development of the educational institution, followed by the assessment and transfer of learning results, the development and use of technologically-related media for education, development of learning processes, and finally, the development of internal quality assurance systems and educational standards. 2) The various methods for applying information technology in the administration of academic issues in accordance with the Three Kosalla Principles of secondary schools under the jurisdiction of the Singburi-Angthong Secondary Educational Service Area Office must be able to apply technology for the development of its teachers and personnel in terms of academics or new skills, as well as apply information technology towards developing academic administration, and be able to access the learning process to manage teaching and learning activities in a systematic manner, using information technology to prevent and manage potential issues and obstacles, preventing unauthorized access to personal information, using online teaching platforms efficiently, using appropriate and intelligent methods or tools to achieve goals that would result towards making the content interesting and easy to understand. 3) Guidelines for applying information technology in the administration of academic-related issues in accordance with the Three Kosalla Principles of secondary schools under the jurisdiction of the Singburi-Angthong Secondary Educational Service Area Office included conducting an analysis of the learners' needs, adapting it to the modern era to keep up with changes in the area, surveying learners' and parents' needs, designing the curriculum structure to be part of planning and organizing with regards to content, activities, and assessment, through the use of teaching and learning technology management and innovation to emphasize student-centered learning, including evaluating the teachers, students, and parents, and making improvements to the content and teaching methods and ensure that it was consistent with social changes, promoting the training of teachers to be accustomed to new teaching techniques, and supporting teamwork to create quality learning.
