GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS OF PERSONNEL IN DIGITAL AGE SCOUT ACTIVITIES ACCORDING TO FOUR IDDHIPADA OF NAKHON LUANG DISTRICT, PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

This research article aimed 1) to study the leadership status of personnel in digital age scout activities, 2) to study the method of developing leadership status of personnel in digital age scout activities based on the Four Bases for Success, and 3) to propose a guideline for developing leadership status of personnel in digital age scout activities based on the Four Bases for Success in schools in Nakhon Luang District, under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Area 1. The research used a mixed method: 1) Quantitative research using a questionnaire with a population of 185 teachers. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. 2) Qualitative research used interviews with 7 key informants. The data were analyzed using content analysis.

The research results found that 1) The overall leadership status of personnel in scouting activities in the digital era was at a high level, reflecting the importance that school administrators and personnel place on scouting activities and holistic development. Personnel in Nakhon Luang District were highly satisfied with scouting activities, particularly in terms of proper uniform, scouting qualifications, and the suitability of the curriculum. Personnel placed great importance on self-development through scouting activities, systematically supported by schools through camping, meetings, training, and seminars. Creativity in scouting activities helped enhance leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with structured activities, teamwork, and appropriate learning time. A committee was in place to monitor activities using standard criteria and operate systematically. 2) The study identified effective methods for developing leadership in scouting personnel according to the Four Paths of Accomplishment (Iddhipda 4), including: involving teachers and personnel in designing activities that align with their interests and strengths (Chanda: Aspiration), promoting continuous learning and training (Viriya: Effort), using simulations and creative activities (Citta: Thoughtfulness), and leveraging digital technology for accuracy, setting flexible and appropriate criteria, and providing ongoing support to personnel (Vimas: Investigation). These methods fostered leadership qualities in scouting personnel, enabling the development of life skills and leadership traits that align with societal changes. 3) The proposed guidelines for leadership development of scouting personnel in the digital era according to the Four Paths of Accomplishment (Iddhipda 4) including: promoting training and participation, developing leadership skills, and encouraging the use of AR and VR technologies (Chanda: Aspiration); encouraging scouting training courses, leadership development, and technology utilization (Viriya: Effort); promoting the use of technology in scouting activities, enhancing leadership skills through practical training, focusing on planning and safety, and organizing creative activities (Citta: Thoughtfulness); and fostering a love for scouting through collaborative planning, monitoring progress using applications and online evaluations, and utilizing digital tools for data collection (Vimas: Investigation)
