DEVELOPMENT OF MOBILE APPLICATION FOR MANAGEMENT OF GARBAGE BANK IN THE NEW NORMAL SOCIETY

Abstract

The purposes of this research were aimed 1) To develop a mobile application to support the management of an automated garbage bank in a new normal society and 2) To evaluate the efficiency of an automatic garbage bank management support system in a new normal society with a mobile application. The research was divided into 2 phases: 1) System planning, system analysis, and design. The sample group was 241 people including the manager and the related people around Suan Aoi Community, and member of the garbage bank. The research instruments consisted of an interview form for the waste bank operation process, problems, obstacles, factors that support success, and the questionnaires of the automatic waste bank management support system in a new normal society efficiency evaluation. Four main statistical analysis methods were employed in data analysis: percentages, means, standard deviations, and content analysis.
The results found that the appropriate system for supporting garbage bank management in a new normal society should be designed to be able to support the following activities: 6 Module include providing knowledge about waste separation, notification of garbage prices and mobile unit’s calendar, weighing and recording data, calculating prices, accumulating waste values, and reward redemption. The newly developed system’s performance evaluation was found that overall users' opinions had an average at high level. When considered in each aspect, it was found that the appropriate with the user-friendly interface designed, the user need, and the reliability of the system and processing.
