The Study of Reflective Journal Writing of the First-Year English Major Students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Songkhla Rajabhat University

Abstract
This study aimed to: 1) study the reflective journal writing of the first-year English major students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Songkhla Rajabhat University, and 2) explore the first-year students' opinions on the reflective journal writing activity. The sample were 54 English major freshmen, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Songkhla Rajabhat University enrolling the Basic English Structure course in the first semester of 2021. Reflective journal writing form and questionnaire were employed as research instruments. The data were analyzed by using content analysis and descriptive statistics.
The findings revealed that the journal writing was reflected in four interesting aspects: learners, instructors, contents of the lesson, and internal stimulus and most students had the positive opinions on reflective journal writing activity at a high level (mean=3.96).
