A Development of Exercise Program for Elderly Person At Loet Ubon Village Community

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to analyze the needs of the exercise program 2) to develop a suitable exercise program for the elderly 3) to study the satisfaction with the exercise program for the elderly. The research tools including the general health questionnaires, the exchange activities study plan for the exercise program for the elderly, the form of physical fitness recorded test for the elderly, the elastic aerobic exercise program for the elderly, and the satisfaction assessment form on the elastic aerobic exercise program for the elderly. The sample group consists of 30 persons who are the member of the Elderly Club of Lert Ubon Village Bangkok who are at the age above 60 years old. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (SD), t-test.
The results of the research were as follows: 1) The group members of the elderly club needed an exercise program that promotes physical and respiratory fitness and 2) the study has developed the exercise programs that were suitable and meet the needs of the elderly members, developed by this research in the elastic aerobic exercise. The program was applied to the elderly for a period of 6 weeks, found that the sample group's blood pressure decreased while the heart relaxed. The physical fitness for the weakness of the ligaments, joints, and muscles around the shoulder blades has increased. The strength and endurance of the leg muscles balance and the endurance of the heart and circulatory system has developed after exercise. The satisfaction of the elderly was a significant at the .01 level 3) finally, after exercising with an aerobic exercise program for the elderly, found that the samples were satisfied with the elastic aerobic exercise program for the elderly at the most satisfactory level.
