The Efficiencies of Academic Administration Perceived by Teachers and Administrators in Religious Islamic Schools under Krabi Provincial Educational Office

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the efficiency of academic administration. Compare the academic performance according to the views of teachers and administrators in religious Islamic schools by gender, status, age, educational level, work experience and school size. And study the problems and suggestions for academic administration. The sample group used in this study was 203 teachers and administrators in religious Islamic schools. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA.

The results showed that: 1) The efficiency of academic administration as per the opinions of teachers and administrators in religious Islamic schools. Attitude towards academic administration in private Islamic schools overall and each aspect is at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that it was at a very high level in all aspects. 2) Teachers and administrators in religious Islamic schools that have gender, status, age, educational level, work experience and the size of the educational institutions were different, with the efficiency of academic administration not significantly different at the .05 level. And 3) Problems and suggestions in the academic administration according to the views of teachers and administrators in religious Islamic schools found that the teaching and learning management should be emphasized on the learners. Both courses used in teaching and learning management and taught to match the context of local students in terms of life skills, analysis, thinking, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and religion.
