People’s Participation in Sustainable Tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Abstract

The objectives of this research to study the level of People’s Participation in Sustainable Tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and to compare the level People’s Participation in Sustainable Tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya by personal factors and study the suggestions of People’s Participation in Sustainable Tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village: The sampling groups composed of 304 persons who have participated. Data are collected through on 5-point Likert scale for questionnaire. The statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and One-way ANOVA. The results of the research were as follows;

1. the level of the participation of sustainable tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya was rated at a high level, starting from the most to the least average of mean were the participation in benefits, implementation, decision making and evaluation. 2. to compare the level People’s Participation in Sustainable Tourism in Sai Noi Ecotourism Village, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya by personal factors including sex age and occupation were found to have different approaches of community participation, at .05 level of statistical significance. 3. to study recommendations of People’s in Participating in Sustainable Tourism principles of Ecotourism Villages Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya found that people in the village realize the importance of tourism in the village. Because the village has old local wisdom. Has a beautiful area. There are many products that are ready to push into society. Therefore wanting to promote and push for greater tourism in the village.
