Strategic Talent Management: An Empirical Evident of Energy Business in Thailand

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of strategic leadership and human resource management capability on the operational efficiency and business innovation towards business performance which were mediated by talent management strategy including talent pool building, proactive capability development and knowledge sharing integration. In addition, the business environmental fluctuation was a moderator influencing on business performance. The questionnaire mail survey was applied for data collection. The sample was 210 of the energy business operator in Thailand.The multiple regression analysis was used for data analysis. The results showed as following: 1)3 domains of talent management strategies (talent pool building, proactive capability development, and knowledge sharing integration positively) influenced on operational efficiency; 2) only proactive capability development and knowledge sharing integration positively of talent management strategies affected business innovation; 3) talent pool building of talent management strategy did not predict business innovation; 4) business environmental fluctuation did not mediate on influence of operational efficiency and  business innovation on business performance; 5) strategic leadership and human resource management capability positively affected talent management strategy.  It was beneficial for Thai energy business in planning to achieve the organizational goal, enhancing operational efficiency and business innovation through talent management strategies based on strategic leadership and human resource management capability on The operational efficiency.
