Relationship between quality of work life and work official: A case study of government officials in the Revenue Department Bangkok Area

Abstract
This research studied the relationship between the quality of work life and the work efficiency of government officials at the Revenue Department in Bangkok. The research aims to study the level of quality of work life and the work efficiency of government officials at the Revenue Department , and also to empirically investigate the relationship level between the quality of work life and the performance efficiency of government officials’ the Revenue Department in the Bangkok area. The sample group was the government officials in Revenue Department located in Bangkok area at a total of 99 officials by Taro Yamane’s theory with the Error valueat 10% using stratified random sampling method. The tool used to collect data was questionnaires. The statistics used in this research comprised of several descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Further, the inferential statistical used to examine hypothesis consisting of t-test, F-test (one-way ANOVA), Least Significant Difference test (LSD), and Pearson product moment correlation coefficient at 95% confidence level. According to the level of quality of work life and the work efficiency of government officials at the Revenue Department, the research findings contended that the level of quality of work life and the work efficiency were at a high level in all aspects, which arranged of the average from greatest to least as follows: the opportunities and progress; and the time spent. Further, the finding of this research highlights that the quality of working life of the Revenue Department officials in Bangkok regarding the work independence; the fast-pace of work and full-time job; the interaction of work; the opportunities and progress; and the work complexity were associated with the work efficiency of government officials in the same directions.
