Abstract

การศึกษาเพื่อสร้างความเป็นพลเมืองIn this article, I problematize civic education - a crucial element of democratization. The question of this article “What is the rationality of the discourse of Thai civic education?”. The author studied through the case of civic education courses as the RSU 101, along with other similar cases, such as TU 100, guide books or texts for civic educational training projects in bureaucratic organizations. The main proposal of the article is there are many cases of civic education that create “subject” instead of citizen. The main reason is due to the preoccupation of identifying and modifying the identity of the citizen rather than encouraging the real experience of participation.
