Abstract


The objectives of this research were to investigate exposure and attitude toward public relations to restoring corporate trust of petrochemical industry of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) and Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited (BCP) to and examine the correlation between exposure and attitude.


The quantitative research used a survey research method. Self-administered questionnaireswere used to collect the data from the total of 400 respondents in 6 groups which were people in Bangkok, people in Rayong province, Bangchak community, Banphe community, academicians, and journalists and non-governmental organizations. The analysis employed descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean and standard deviation. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was used to test research hy pothesis.The research results are:


1) Participants were exposed to public relations to restoring corporate trust of petrochemicalindustry of both PTTGC and BCP at a medium level. They have positive attitude at a moderate correlation to public relations to restoring corporate trust of petrochemical industry.


2) The exposure of public relations to restoring corporate trust of PTTGC is positively correlated with their attitude at a low correlation whereas BCP at a moderate correlation.
