Abstract
This research has two objectives:1) To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication projects for area-based educational management of pilot provinces: Kanchanaburi, Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Trat, Nakhon Ratchasima,
Nan, Phuket, Surat Thani, Surin and Amnat Charoen. 2) To learn from communicators’ success working in those ten provinces. This research applies the participatory evaluation method by using in- depth interviews, documentary analysis and observation for gathering data. The result shows: 1) the communicators in all ten provinces succeeded in building or communication network to drive the area-based education policy. 2) the advocacy strategy used in the pilot provinces can aid in mutual understanding and realization of the importance of area-based education among stakeholders.
