Study of business potential for organic turmeric of a community enterprise from Kaowong, Bantakhun, Surat Thani province

Abstract

This research had the objective of studying the potential management, marketing, financial and potential development of community enterprise of organic turmeric in Khaowong, Bantakhun, Surrat Thani province. The sample consisted of 5 members of the community enterprise group of organic turmeric, 2 representative from government sector as well as administrative officer. This research is a collective case study and was conducted by using Qualitative Research. This research was done by using different types of process for a deep survey on related of Literature Review through the use of Content Analysis.


The results of the research through the management of The Community Enterprise Group of organic Turmeric revealed that The Community Enterprise Group in organic Turmeric has not been working systematically and has unsystematically in organizational structure. Marketing found that the group has the main products are Turmeric is non-toxic, which currently the group has processed fresh turmeric into turmeric powder for sale to entrepreneurs by selling according to the purchase order and selling in the exhibition. Financial found that the group has a simple income-expense account, there is no clear account form. And from the potential evaluation, it was found that the group has moderate potential because the group has strengths and good opportunities, but there are weaknesses and obstacles in management, resulting in The Community Enterprise Group in organic Turmeric has not succeeded in developing the group from advanced raw material manufacturers.
