Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate ethnic discrimination against Laos People's Democratic Republic in Thai society that appeared in social media, Pantip web board. Qualitative research was conducted using a content analysis technic. The data used to analyze were collected from the comments on the Pantip web board about ethnic discrimination against the Laos People's Democratic Republic in 10 cases. The results showed that ethnic discrimination against Laos in Thai society were: insulting the intellectual level of Lao people; insulting underdeveloped backwardness of the Lao PDR country; insulting the appearance of Laos people; parody due to stereotype attitude; and mimicking foreign people language and culture.
