Approach in Creating Local Wisdom with Creative Product Innovation of Small Enterprises in Hang Chat District, Lampang Province.

Abstract
The purpose of research was to study the context operating of small enterprise business and Approach in Creating Local Wisdom with Creative Product Innovation of Small Enterprises in Hang Chat District, Lampang Province. It was participatory action research and the research tool was survey questionnaire, in-depth interview, observation, seminar, conference, community participatory meeting and content analysis. The sampling was entrepreneurs and members of 26 from 46 small enterprise businesses from 7 sub-districts of Hangchat district with 3 dimension data analysis on time, location and content with full participation from all related parties. The past operating condition of small enterprise business revealed that the majority of business establishment was split into 3 characteristics as (1) extension of family business and experience, (2) establishing under government aggregation policy for qualifying financial budget supports and (3) establishing under member requests for solving family and community economic problems. The production process was still remains unchanged, or make to order of customers and relied on applying traditional local wisdom with appropriated technology, but still short of full development of knowledge in holistic manner. The upgrading path of local wisdom of majority of enterprise businesses focused on learning from other successful businesses and modifying for applying local wisdom with creative innovation products through belief, religion, culture, way of life and various rituals in designing new features on products or focusing on legend, product story on packaging or product logo for unique identity.
