A Study of Influence of Knowledge Management toward Skilled Labor Performance Efficiency in the Automotive Industry

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study knowledge management and efficiency of specific labor’s skills in automotive industry divided by each personal status. And 2) to analyze the influence of knowledge management that affected to working efficiency of specific labor’s skills in automotive industry. The sample group wear 400 people who worked in automotive Industry. The convenience sampling method was chosen for data gathering/collecting. The data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results were revealed that the different of education in each personal status of the sample group was not differently affected to working efficiency but the personal status in terms of gender, age, position, organization size, and the frequency of participating in training/seminar/observing activities each year differently affected  working efficiency at the .05 significant level. Knowledge management is a positively related with working efficiency. In addition, knowledge creation and knowledge acquisition were affected working efficiency at the .001 significant level.
