DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL PLATFORM FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING MANAGEMENT IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY OF SUAN AGSORN SCHOOL

This research aimed to: 1) study the current states and the specific needs of a digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school: specifically focusing on the case study of Suan Agsorn School; 2) develop a tailored digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school, using Suan Agsorn School as a case study; 3) examine the results of using a digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school, with Suan Agsorn School as the case study 4) Validation of the digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school, using Suan Agsorn School as the case study. The samples for the research included parents, teachers and management personnel. The research and development methodology were applied through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, followed by a systematic analysis of the results. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index.
The findings revealed that: 1) The average levels of current states of using a digital platform for teaching and learning management contents, overall, were at the high level ( =3.84) and the needs were at the high level ( =4.25). Meanwhile, the first priority need of a digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school: a case study of Suan Agsorn School was “knowledge sharing” (PNI=0.096). 2) After a brainstorming session, the school management and department heads reached a consensus to develop a school website as a digital platform and incorporate a webboard feature. This digital platform will encourage users to actively contribute to various aspects of the digital experience in the form of curriculum development, instructional activities, and assessment processes for Suan Agsorn School. 3) The composition of the Suan Agsorn digital platform includes the following seven elements: vision/strategy, user experience, management, data & analytics, technology/IT system, security, and productivity. The evaluation of the platform’s efficiency resulted in a high overall level ( =4.46). Furthermore, the users’ satisfaction towards a digital platform for teaching and learning management in a private school: a case study of Suan Agsorn School, was at a high level ( =4.27). 4) The validation results of Suan Agsorn digital platform by nine experts indicated an excellent level of appropriateness ( =4.52).
