RISK FACTORS AND GUIDELINES FOR PREVENTING ONLINE GAMBLING IN YOUTH

Playing gambling games has been around for a long time. And has developed into an online gambling game in the present day, making it easily accessible to youth and causing various problems. to the nation This research therefore aims to study risk factors leading to online gambling among youth and to present guidelines for prevention of online gambling among youth. This research is qualitative research where the informants are divided into 3 groups: a group of 6 people with experience in playing online gambling games, a group of 4 people involved in supervision, and finally a group of people involved. In preventing online gambling, two people participated in the study. The research tool was a semi-structured interview. Data were analyzed using content analysis.
The research results found that Risk factors are divided into 3 factors: 1) Internal risk factors include friends persuading people, fluctuating moods. Impulsive nature. 2) Indirect risk factors include an easily accessible community, raising someone in the family addicted to other types of gambling. group of friends who play online gambling games and 3) direct risk factors include a lack of knowledge about the facts of online gambling games Online gambling games know the results quickly and the need to return lost money As for the prevention guidelines, they are divided into 5 points: 1) creating correct knowledge and understanding about online gambling games 2) improving the Gambling Act 1935 3) imposing penalties for trading accounts 4 ) Legalizing online gambling games and 5) Promoting employment and income for youth.
