Political Communication to Maintain the Government’s Image in the Digital Age

This research applied the quantitative and qualitative method and the political communication theory as a research framework. The research area was government public relations department and organizations. The total sampling were 222 administrative and research instruments were interview form and questionnaire. Percentage and standard deviation used for the quantitative section and analyzed the data for qualitative part.
The first research objective found that political communication to maintain government image had both formal and informal forms of communication through digital media. The content form was in accordance with the quality of digital media, including content creation, images building, video, and graphics. Government public relations department and organizations work with public relations of political parties.
The second research objective showed that the factors affecting political communication were communication policy, communication planning and communication management, all from the public relations department and the government.
The research knowledge is the factors that support political communication and the form of political communication to maintain the government image and can apply the government public relations department and organizations can apply to maintain the government image in the digital age media
