DEVELOPMENT OF RESILIENCE FOR CYBERBULLYING PREVENTION MODEL AMONG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT THE DEMONSTRATION SCHOOLS OF RAJABHAT UNIVERSITIES IN THE WESTERN REGION

Abstract

This research and development study aimed to develop resilience for the cyberbullying prevention model among junior high school students at the Demonstration Schools of Rajabhat Universities in the Western Region. The research processes were divided into three phases. First Phase: Study the situation related to resilience for cyberbullying prevention. Data were collected from the sample of 270 students using the questionnaires, and critical informants of 30 people were in-depth interviews on policies, management, and resilience guidelines for cyberbullying prevention. Second Phase: The development of resilience for the cyberbullying prevention model was tested with 50 junior high school students as the experimental group. There was a control group of 50 students. The model is composed of five learning activities for five weeks. Third Phase: Evaluation of the resilience of the cyberbullying prevention model. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Two-way ANOVA, and MANOVA. The research results found that junior high school students had resilience for cyberbullying prevention skills at a moderate level. After the experiment, the experimental group had significantly higher scores of emotional control skills, self-esteem, coping problems, cyber communication, and cyberbullying prevention behavior than before the experiment and higher than the control group (p < 0.05). The satisfaction with the learning activities of the experimental group was found to be at a high level.
