Abstract

The objectives of this research were to : 1) study the components and examine the quality of creative writing exercise using the Jigsaw II Technique and Self-Directed Learning of Mathayom2 students of NakhonLuang School “Udomrat Witthaya”, under the Office of the Secondary Education Area, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya, 2) study the effects of using creative writing exercise using the Jigsaw II Technique and Self-Directed Learning of Mathayom 2 students. The research instruments were to: Achievement test, Skill exercises, and Creative writing skills assessment. The samples used in this research were Mathayom 2 students of Nakhon Luang School. “Udomrat Wittaya”, a total of 72 people. Data analysis and statistics used include mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The research results found that                       1) The creative writing skill exercise form using the the Jigsaw II Technique and                Self-Directed Learning consisted of 5 components as follows: (1) Manual for using the skill exercise form (2) Learning objectives (3) Content (4) Measurement and evaluation tools and (5) Learning management plan. The results of the efficiency test of the skill exercise form found that the skill exercise form had an efficiency of 83.31/87.59, which was higher than the specified criteria of 80/80 2) The results of using the skill exercise form found that 1) The results of the comparison of academic achievement before and after using the creative writing skill exercise form using the Jigsaw II Technique and Self-Directed Learning found that the learning results after learning were significantly higher than before learning at the .05 level. 2) The results of the study of students' creative writing skills after using the creative writing skill exercise form using the Jigsaw II technique combined with self-directed learning found that 83.47 2.3) The results of the study on the durability of learning after using  the creative writing exercises in visual language using the Jigsaw II technique together with self-directed learning found that the academic achievement score after 2 weeks of learning was 87.04 percent, which is significantly higher than the criteria at the .05 level.
