Abstract

Research on “Sacredness and beliefs according to the legends about the 5 floating Buddha images in the context of Buddhism” has 3 objectives, including 1) to study the history of the sacredness and beliefs of the 5 floating Buddha images according to the legends. 2) to study the principles of Dhamma holiness and beliefs of the 5 Buddha images in the context of Buddhism; and 3) to analyze the sacredness and beliefs according to legends about the 5 floating Buddha images in the context of Buddhism. Conducting research using qualitative research methods (Qualitative Research) using in-depth interviews using the Purposive Sampling method of 12 people/photo and focus group discussion (Focus Group Discussion). ) by the researcher has selected group of abbots and assistant abbot, a group of experts in Buddhism and a group of experts in Buddhism, totaling 10 monks/people

  The results of the research found that: 1) It is caused by beliefs, thoughts, values, and ways of doing things. Regarding the floating Buddha image 2) The connecting principles include the 4 prayers, the 7 sappurisadhams, and the 4 iddhipathas, which are the principles of reason for self-development. Emphasis on talking about supernatural powers. But the media is based on Dhamma prayer principles. and still maintain the dignity of the 5 kings in order to cause faith to remain and 3) create public relations for the public To restore traditions Local wisdom, arts and culture that are beliefs, values, and norms that must be supported in Buddhism.

The knowledge in this research will be useful. Study different formats Concerning the legends and retellings of the floating tradition of holy monks. in a variety of formats Media should be used to study important events of sacredness and beliefs based on legends about the 5 floating Buddha images in order to present the content to society.
