POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF POSTAL SERVICE PROVIDERS IN BANGKOK

The objectives of this research are 1) to study social factors, capability factors and potential development level of postal service providers in Bangkok 2) to study the demographical differences affecting potential development of postal service providers in Bangkok 3) to study the guidelines for developing potential of postal service providers in Bangkok. This research applied quantitative research method. The sample used in this research was 400 people in Bangkok. The research tool was a questionnaire created by studying documents. Theory and relevant research are tools for collecting data from the sample. which covers the content and objectives of the study according to the conceptual framework of the source and dependent variables The statistically analyzed variables were used to create a questionnaire for collecting data with the informants to gain insights.
The research found that: 1) The weighted average of the social acceptance factor in all 4 aspects was 3.11. The S.D. value was 0.93, which was considered high. Operation acceptance factor, satisfaction factor and economic factors were the top-3 factors with the highest weighted average, with mean values of 3.19, 3.12 and 3.12. All of which were considered high with S.D. values of 1.01, 0.90 and 0.85 respectively. Encouragement factor had the lowest weighted average, 3.02, with an S.D. value of 0.95, which was considered moderate. 2) The weighted average of capability acceptance factor in all 3 aspects was 3.13. The S.D. was 0.83, which was considered high. Attitude factor and achieving service knowledge factors were the first two factors with the highest weighted average, with mean values of 3.16 and 3.13. All of which were considered high with S.D. values of 0.83 and 0.86 respectively. Skills factor had the lowest weighted average, 3.10, with an S.D. value of 0.81, which was considered moderate. 3) Potential development level in all 5 aspects had a weighted average of 3.09 with an S.D. value of 0.94, which considered moderate. Environment had the highest weighted average which was 3.12 with an S.D. value of 1.00, which was considered high, followed by social condition with an average weight of 3.11, with an S.D. value of 0.89, which was considered high, fulfillment of needs with a weighted average of 3.10 with an S.D. value of 0.98, which was considered moderate. and quality development of postal service providers with a weighted average of 3.09 with an S.D. value of 0.86 respectively. Efficiency had the lowest weighted average, 3.02 with an S.D. value of 0.96, which was considered moderate.
