Abstract

This research aims to upgrade the Mae Ing Shibori tie-dye fabric product through the process of developing community Innovators based on design thinking in the Mae Ing
sub-district, Phu Kamyao district, Phayao province, conducted in a training workshop that relies on the design thinking process according to Stanford University (2012). The design thinking process consists of five parts: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The duration of the research is between May 2022 and February 2023. The sample group consists of 15 representatives of community enterprise members, nine researchers from the School of Political and social sciences, 45 students from the social development program, and 22 customers who can give their opinions on the prototype of products. Four groups were chosen, by using purposive sampling, to be representatives to provide clear, accurate, and whole data because they participated in each main activity of this research. The research tools used for gathering data were the group discussion and observational form. After completing the process of product development, it found that research brings about six results as follows: the prototype of the Mae Ing Shibori tie-dye fabric product, the story of the product, the process of product development, the community innovators in marketing, the turnover to compare before and after, and the innovation and learning process.
