DEVELOPMENT INNOVATION OF BILINGUAL PROGRAM SCHOOL UNDER THE CHANGE MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

The objectives of this exploratory and development research were 1) to investigate ‘change management leadership’ of educational institution administrator that could impact the development innovation of bilingual program school’s curriculum, 2) to create the innovation to improve bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of school administrator, and 3) to demonstrate the innovation to improve bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of school administrator. This study had adapted the concepts of change management leadership from Schratz & Schley, 2014; The Corum Consultancy, 2018, and the concepts regarding the curriculum development from Vijayalakshmi, 2020, as its framework. There were three steps in proceeding the study: Step 1 the investigate of change management leadership of educational institution administrator towards the development innovation of bilingual program school’s curriculum, Step 2 the creation of innovation to develop bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of educational institution administrator, and Step 3 ) the demonstration of the innovation of bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of educational institution administrator. The collected data in this research were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA).
The findings revealed that:
- Bilingual program kindergarten school’s administrator viewed that the practicality’s overall score of change management leadership of educational institution administrator that could impact the development innovation of bilingual program school’s curriculum was at the highest level.
- The innovation to improve bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of school administrator consisted of 5 processes: 1) selecting of aims, goals and objectives, 2) selecting of learning experiences, 3) selecting of content, 4) organization and integration of learning experience and content, and 5) evaluation.
- After the demonstration of the innovation of bilingual program school’s curriculum under the change management leadership of educational institution administrator in Kirakira Kids International Kindergarten school, kindergarten 1 (K1) class got higher learning score than before the demonstration at 1.20.
The acquired knowledge of this research could be used in Kirakira Kids International Kindergarten school in developing the school curriculum in order to achieve the standard of Japan’s kindergarten school that the school could use it as the framework in improving students.
