Abstract

Science and performing arts are often perceived as separate disciplines. In fact, they share a common natural origin, suggesting a potential connection and reciprocal learning. This research aims to investigate the application of scientific knowledge in the domain of performing arts, with a particular focus on Likay, which encompass dance and music. The study sample consists of purposefully selected 3 people from Likay, Sornramnamphet, including an actor, a musician, and a stage organizer, each representing one role, willingly provided their informed consent to contribute valuable information.  Structured interviews were conducted to gather data, which were subsequently summarized, analyzed using content analysis, and presented in alignment with the research objectives. Structured interviews were conducted.

The research yielded the following results: 1) Application of scientific knowledge  Artists utilize scientific knowledge in the implications/context of dance, music, and health care. Artists effectively integrate scientific knowledge with their experiences, unknowingly that are relevant to scientific principles. 2) Utilization of traditional performance experiences to elucidate scientific knowledge, without resorting to technical scientific terminologies.
