The Management of Foreign Workers fo the Construction Business in Thailand

The purpose of this article is to study: 1) to study the foreign labor policy that affects the management of foreign workers, 2) to study the factors that affect the management of foreign workers, and 3) to study the management of foreign workers of the construction business in Thailand. The qualitative research by interviewing. Data were collect information through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. Key information providers include four government agencies and experts. 12 contractor executives, 10 foreign workers, and focus group discussions with 6 participants. Analyze data through content analysis methods.
The results of the study revealed that Management Guide for Foreign Workers in the Construction Industry of Thailand There are clear employment guidelines in accordance with national laws and international principles. Employers must hire lawyers specializing in foreign workers to help manage foreign workers. There are staff to coordinate document management, obtain the right to quality of life for foreign workers, and provide food for foreign workers. There is a foreign labor management policy based on human rights principles, and a foreign labor law that legally employs foreign workers. Social protection based on legal norms should also be provided.
