EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT OF SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS IN THAILAND

Research Objectives This research aimed to study the following: The relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement in Subdistrict Administrative Organizations (SAOs). The relationship between quality of work life and employee engagement in SAOs. The relationship between organizational culture and employee engagement in SAOs. The differences in employee engagement based on the size of SAOs.
Methodology This quantitative research employed a survey technique. The sample included government employees from SAOs, selected through stratified random sampling.
Findings The hypothesis testing, using correlation analysis, revealed the following: A significant level of 0.01 (less than the predefined threshold of 0.05) led to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypotheses:Transformational leadership, quality of work life, and organizational culture are significantly related to employee engagement in SAOs in Thailand. These factors collectively explained 50.1% of the variance in employee engagement. Among them: Organizational culture had the highest influence (0.573).Transformational leadership followed (0.404). Quality of work life had the least impact (0.100). The size of SAOs influenced employee engagement: Medium-sized SAOs exhibited higher levels of cognitive and emotional engagement compared to large-sized SAOs.
