GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVLOPMENT OF BAN KAEW FAH SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY VILLAGE, KAEW FAH SUBDISTRICT, BANG SAAI DISTRICT, PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of community participation in developing a self-sufficient village economy, and 2) to propose ways to promote community participation in developing a self-sufficient village economy. The research was mixed-methods. As a research framework, use concept participation aspect. The quantitative research, with a sample group consisting of 175 people living in the Kaew Fah village, Moo 1, Kaew Fah Subdistrict, Bangsaai district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling. The research tools used were 1) questionnaires 2) interviews. Data were analyzed by the quantitative research section. The statistics use to analyze the data consisted of frequency analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and LSD tests. Qualiative investigation, with key informants including community leaders, government agency personnel, and representatives of the people, totaling 11 people. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The research tools used were and content analysis and write a descriptive description.
The results of this research indicated that; 1) the level of community participation in developing the self-sufficient economy was generally high. The aspect with the highest average score was the benefits aspect, and the aspect with the lowest average score was the evaluation aspect. Additionally, 2) the strategies to promote community participation in developing the self-sufficient economy included: having comprehensive public relations to encourage participation in activities, notifying the news of activities/projects through various channels of the community, promoting group participation within the community, such as occupational groups or women's groups, inviting and explaining the benefits of activities/projects to the people and the community, and holding meetings to explain the results of various community projects for people to be aware of.
