Administrative Model for the Development of Vocational Teachers in Exploration and Exploitation To Enhance Teaching Profession and Quality of Life

The purposes of this research were 1) studied the causal factors of exploration and exploitation behaviors. 2) studied the group of vocational teachers who should be developed first and the factors that should be promoted. 3) Examined the causal factors model of exploration and exploitation behaviors. 4) developed and evaluated the administration model development for vocational teachers. This study used quantitative and qualitative mixed method. The sample consisted of 324 teachers under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission obtained by multi-stage sampling. Research were : 11 Summated rating scales with reliability (α) from .691 to .926, interviewing form, and model assessment form. The Statistics used for data analysis were t-test, Multiple regression Analysis, and Path Analysis.
The results showed that: 1) The three groups variable explained exploration and exploitation behavior of Vocational Teachers at 60.2 percentage and 64.0 percentage respectively. The important variables were : positive attitudes towards acquiring exploration and exploitation, receiving the social support, future orientation and self control, and access to social media. 2) There were two groups of vocational teachers who deserved to be developed, namely those who over 40 years of age and more with government teacher position. The important contributing factors are : positive attitudes towards exploration and exploitation, –3) A Casual factor model of exploration and exploitation behaviors of vocational education teachers was consistent with the empirical data, the result of the explanation was at 98.1 percentage. 4) The administrative model for the development of vocational teachers in exploration and exploitation to enhance teaching profession and quality of life assessed by experts. Moreover, the model for the development of vocational teachers to enhance significant mental traits with the On-The-Job training program with mean in each aspect and overall was also higher than the 70/75 criteria. This research is useful for executives and those involve in the development of vocational teachers in exploration and exploitation of knowledge to enhance professional quality and the quality of life.
