Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study and compare the levels of distributed leadership by school administrators as perceived by teachers working in the Secondary Educational Service Area Bangkok 2 classified by educational background, work experience and consortium. The study employed a survey research design with samples consisting of 357 teachers who worked at schools under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Bangkok 2 during academic year 2022. The samples were selected by stratified random sampling and categorized by Cohen’s random samples. The instrument was a questionnaire that was used to query teachers with a reliability of 0.982. Mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffé’s multiple comparison method were used to analyze the data.

The findings were as follows: 1) Decentralized leadership level of school administrators under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Education Service Area 2, overall and for each aspect, was at a high level. Further, 2) the results of comparing the ddistributed leadership levels of school administrators under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Education Service Area 2 showed that opinions about distributed leadership by school administrators at different levels classified by educational background were different, but not significant. Meanwhile, a significance level of .05 was found among teachers with different work experiences and consortiums. The findings of this research provide useful information for school administrators seeking to create guidelines for enhancing distributed leadership of school administrators appropriately and to improve the quality of school administrators further.
