Abstract

This exploratory study’s objectives were 1) to investigate the level of creative leadership of primary school administrators under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1 by teachers, and 2) to compare teachers’ opinions towards creative leadership of primary school administrators under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1 according to teachers’ gender, work experience and school size. The sample group used in this study was 320 teachers in primary schools under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1. Questionnaire was implemented as the data collecting tool. The statistical analysis techniques used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA.

According to the results 1) the overall of creative leadership of primary school administrators under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1 was shown at high ranking. As to consider each factor, ‘vision’ had the highest score, whereas ‘imagination’ had the lowest score. 2) Teachers with different gender and work experience perceived the overall and variable scores of creative leadership of primary school administrators under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1 differently at non-significance level of .05. and 3) Teachers in different school sizes perceived the overall and each variable of creative leadership of primary school administrators under the Samut prakan primary educational service area office 1 differently at non-significance level of .05. The only exception for this case was ‘vision’

The findings of this study could be the information for school administrators to utilize in developing their creative leadership skills, in order to be able to discipline appropriately for their roles and responsibilities. This could lead to the effective and efficient school management, which would be beneficial for students, teachers and every school staff.
