THE SATISFACTION OF PARENTS TOWARDS EARLY SUPPORTING SERVICES OF SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTER OF PETCHABURI PROVINCE

This survey research aims to 1) study the satisfaction of parents towards early supporting services of special education center of Petchaburi province, and 2) compare the satisfaction of parents according to their age and occupation. The sample was 165 parents of students in the semester B.E. 2565 of special education center of Petchaburi province. Questionnaire was used in this study to acquire data. The implemented Basic statistical analysis methods were mean, standard deviation and Reference Statistics was one-way ANOVA.
The research findings revealed that : 1. Parents of students were satisfied of early supporting services at high level. When considering each variable, the variable with highest mean score was ‘service preparation and individual implementation plan’, whereas the variable with the lowest score was ‘educational disabilities screening’. 2. The parents with different age were satisfied of early supporting service process differently at significant value of .05. 3. The parents with different occupations were satisfied of early supporting service process differently at non-significant value of .05. The research results suggested that special education center should prioritize the process of early supporting services more, since this attracted more parents to send their children to receive the services to improve the children’s potential appropriately.
